🚫 Prohibited Items at the COTA F1 Event

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all fans, certain items are not allowed inside the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) venue during the Formula 1 event. Please review the list below before arriving to avoid any inconvenience at entry points.


🔍 General Policy

All guests entering the COTA grounds are subject to security screening, including bag checks and metal detectors. Prohibited items will be confiscated and not returned, so we recommend leaving restricted items at home or in your vehicle.


❌ List of Prohibited Items

Weapons Firearms, knives, pepper spray, tasers, and any other weapon or sharp object
Bags & Luggage Backpacks larger than 12"x12"x20", hard coolers, luggage, suitcases
Outside Food & Beverages Alcohol, glass containers, full-size drink coolers, outside food (except for medical or baby needs)
Chairs & Furniture Folding chairs (unless specified as allowed in GA lawn), umbrellas over 36", tents, or canopies
Professional Equipment Drones, tripods, selfie sticks, laser pointers, professional cameras with detachable lenses (unless credentialed)
Drugs & Substances Illegal drugs, cannabis (even if medically prescribed), drug paraphernalia
Other Bicycles, skateboards, hoverboards, noise amplifiers (e.g. air horns, megaphones), pets (except service animals), fireworks, flammable materials

✅ Items That Are Allowed (with restrictions)

  • Clear bags under 12”x12”x6”

  • Small personal cameras or phones

  • Empty reusable water bottles (can be filled at hydration stations)

  • Baby food/formula (must be in appropriate container)

  • Seat cushions and blankets

  • Mobility aids or medically necessary equipment (subject to inspection)


👮 Security & Entry

Security staff reserves the right to deny entry or remove guests who violate venue policies or attempt to bring in prohibited items.
